Mario came up as a tattoo artist in Austria in the 1970's. In that time it was illegal to tattoo in the country, Mario had to work in the tattoo underground.
Mario opened his first tattoo studio and begins to mix his own inks. Frustrated by the lack of color range, Mario began mixing his first colors in his kitchen.
Mario travels to the United States and competes in the National Tattoo Convention in San Francisco. He sweeps the competition winning 9 out of 11 awards.
The tattoo industry begins to recognize Mario for his colors. Demand for the inks begins to rise as his legacy grows.
With demand spiking Mario moves to the United States and releases the industry’s first 19 color ink set.
INTENZE becomes a company and begins to professionally manufacture inks in the United Sates.
INTENZE becomes the first company to label it’s bottles to the FDA specifications and the first to sterilize it’s inks. During this time INTENZE increases to 54 colors.
INTENZE signs tattoo artists to first sponsorship team. The first artist series sets are created. A partnership with Bowery Stan begins. INTENZE launches the Legends.
Mario Barth participates in ECTP tattoo in safety conference to fight for tattoo rights. The first INTENZE Creative Academy takes place in Florence, Italy.
INTENZE maintains the highest GMP’s opperating it’s state of the art manufacturing facility. Our ink is always vegan, always sterile, and always created with artists in mind.
The original INTENZE logo was used until recently on all printed and digital work for the company and can still be seen today on the bottle labels and signage.
The infinity INTENZE logo was created to help move the brand into the future. This change also brought the now iconic Z icon to the companies branding.
