Yanina Viland

I started tattooing in 2008. At that time I lived in Ukraine and was engaged in interior design of music clubs and event   management. Tattooing was just a hobby of mine for several years. In 2011 I moved to St. Petersburg (Russia) and there my work as a tattoo artist became really demanding, therefore I completely devoted myself to tattooing as a main job.

From 2015 I started traveling the world with tours. Some time later I relocated to  Brazil for a few years, where I was able to deepen my knowledge of the local traditions of native tattoo culture. By then, blackwork had already established itself as my main style of work on the skin.

In the summer of 2019 I returned to the European continent with the goal of opening an art and tattoo studio in Lisbon/Portugal where I could begin a quiet period of in-depth work on my painting career alongside with tattooing, and build one more spot for modern art in Southern Europe.
