Color on melanin-rich skin follows different rules. The skin's own melanin acts like a tinted filter over everything you lay down, so pale, thin, cool colors disappear and only bold, high-opacity, saturated pigment holds its own. I built this set around exactly that — the reds, warm golds, vivid cools, opaque white, opaque greys, and a true black that show up vivid on Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin and heal the way you put them in.

Reds & oranges — the workhorses on deep skin

Warm, saturated reds and oranges read beautifully against rich undertones. Bright Red, Dark Red, and jewel-toned Ruby Red, with Tangerine and Bright Orange for glow and contrast.

Golds & earthy yellows

Yellow is the least opaque color there is, so on deep skin it has to be dense and warm. Golden Yellow, Mustard, and Ochre bring rich, sunlit warmth that holds.

Vivid cools — high-contrast blues & teal

Cool tones have to be deep and vivid to cut through the filter. Mario's Blue, Deep Indigo, and Teal — teal in particular sits gorgeous against dark skin.

Opaque white, opaque greys & a true black

This is where deep skin is won or lost. Snow White Opaque — opaque, not mixing — is the highlight that actually pops. The Coal, Grandpa Grey, and Graphit opaque greys give you dimension and shading that reads on rich skin, and Zuper Black anchors it all.
